Can preganancy test be false positive?

Its two days before my menses starts and I did the clearblue pregnancy test, it shows faint positive line. I went down to see doctor to confirm again. The urine test shows faint lines too. He told me if menses don't come, then confirm I'm pregnant. Will preganancy test shows false positive results?

Very very rare but like everything else, it is possible. The best is to do a HCG beta blood test.
