Our new shipment just came in 1+ week back and our next shipment will probably be in around end Nov to early Dec only. Yes, we will restock the LG Premium Asobang Hello Bear Adventure (2100*1400*22mm) baby playmats. This is the LG Asobang range and not the LG Prime range. LG Asobang is the only playmat that comes in dimension 2100*1400mm with thickness of either 18mm or 22mm. The LG Prime range comes in dimension of 1900*1300mm with thickness of 11mm or 15mm, 2300*1400mm with thickness of 13mm or 15mm and 2500*1400mm with thickness of 15mm.
We still have stocks for the latest design (introduced in Sept 2011) - LG Premium Asobang Alphabet Winnie Pooh (2100*1400*22mm) at S$368. Would you like to get this instead?

would you recommend getting something bigger in size but thinner (LG Premium Alphabet Jurassic) or smaller in size but thicker (Alphabet Winnie Pooh)? |

Based on testing done by LG, as long as the thickness for the LG playmats is at least 10mm in thickness, it is baby safe. For the LG Premium Asobang Alphabet Winnie Pooh (NEW) (2100*1400*22mm), it is 22mm in thickness and the LG Premium Alphabet Jurassic Sealand is 15mm in thickness. Both thickness are comfortable in terms of thickness and cushioning. The bigger playmat will give babies more space to play on while the thicker playmat provide addition cushioning for your baby. The choice really remain yours since you know your baby best.  |

Thanks for visiting our thread. Regret to inform you that we have discontinued carrying the Parklon brand baby playmats and concentrate on bringing in the quality and premium LG baby playmats.
Parklon Green mats are softer & some mummies have feedback that it is a bit too soft and might not be able to provide the required cushioning when babies fall and knock on the playmat. It is also more prone to creaselines which will take more time to settle down/fade off. Whereas LG mats are more premium in quality, firmer and also better for baby's back as they are still developing. LG also has the Asobang series which is 18mm and 22mm thick, providing extra cushioning for your baby.
The embossing pattern on the LG playmat is very unique which provide a quality finish and increased durability. Parklon has recently changed its embossing patterns to catch up with the LG playmat quality but it is still inferior as compared to LG playmat, which explains why the price difference. |

There are basically 3 different types. The Prime, Asobang / Premium Asoabng and Premium range. All are of the same materials with both sides reversible and useable. The Prime range is the series of baby playmat developed by LG. It comes in different sizes and thicknesses. It has been scientifically proven safe and is also an environment-friendly mat. It is not only a playroom mat, but also provides the baby with educational tools (numbers, pictures, alphabets, etc.). The vibrant and diverse colors are helpful for baby's visual and emotional development.
The Asobang range is very similar to the Prime range, but it comes only in one size (2100*1400mm) and 2 thickness (18mm and 22mm). The 22mm thickness is the Premium Asobang range as it is the thickest playmat available in the market. Based on our best knowledge, it is available on a limited period only. It is also the only 3-layered playmat that comes with noise absorption. Unlike other playmats with only 2 layers, the Asobang playmat has an additional layer of unique cushion system that dramatically absorbs and reduces any noise production by everyday activity. The extra thickness will obviously provide baby with extra cushioning when he/she falls.
The Premium range is the largest playmat available in the market and comes in the size 2500*1400 with only 1 thickness of 15mm. Based on our best knowledge, it is available on a limited period only.

May i know how to clean the playmat? Does it need any special detergent?

Cleaning of playmat:
Before using the playmat, air and wipe the playmat with a soft clean cloth with water and a few drops of baby cleaner (those made of vegetable & fruits and used to clean baby bottles are recommended). Subsequently, you can just use soft clean cloth with water.
Things to note:
-- do not use strong detergent or chemical cleaners to clean the playmat.
-- do not leave heavy furniture permanently on the playmat as it will create a permanent dent on the playmat.
-- do not leave the playmat under direct sunlight for long periods of time.
-- it is recommended to regularly flip the playmat to the other side every 2-3 days.
Creases / Wrinkles:
Due to the packing method (some of the playmats are rolled-up / folded), it is common for the surface of the playmat to wrinkle or have creaselines. For rolled-up playmats, the wrinkles / creaselines will be much lesser as compared to those folded ones. After laying the playmat flat on the floor for some time, the wrinkles / creaselines will naturally be reduced and fade away. It usually takes about 3 weeks to fade away after fully unfolded. You can do the following to help speed up the process.
-- laying the playmat flat on the floor
-- flipping the playmat to the other side every 2-3 days |

The Parklon Foldable Picnic Mat is PE material and meant for outdoor picnic use. It is very different from the regular Parklon Green playmats which are made of PVC, reversible and both sides can be used.
For regular playmats, we will recommend the LG baby playmats, which are better in quality and firmer. We used to carry the regular Parklon Green playmats but had discontinued due to feedback from mummies on the quality of the Parklon Green playmats.
Parklon Green mats are softer & some mummies have feedback that it is a bit too soft and might not be able to provide the required cushioning when babies fall and knock on the playmat. It is also more prone to creaselines which will take more time to settle down/fade off. Whereas LG mats are more premium in quality, firmer and also better for baby's back as they are still developing. LG also has the Asobang series which is 18mm or 22mm thick, providing extra cushioning for your baby.
The embossing pattern on the LG playmat is very unique which provide a quality finish and increased durability. Parklon has recently changed its embossing patterns to catch up with the LG playmat quality but it is still inferior as compared to LG playmat, which explains why the price difference. |
