Hi Lengleng, my son is coming to 20 mth old and he is still below 10kg as well. Mine oso drinks very little milk, i think... (he is still bf). I've checked with his PD who told me that if he is active and happy and doesn't look lethargic or listless, it should not be a problem. Btw, he was 9.8kg one week ago but he caught a virus and now his weight is down to 9.5kg. Well, i guess if your son is active and happy, then it should be ok bah... Hope this helps! |

Hi, My girl is 22 mth old and she is below 9kg! She also doesn't like to drink milk, less than 200ml per day! But she is an active child, so I guess still alright? |

i have a 36 mths old gal. Does not like drinking milk. Weighs 10.5kg. I tried so much of much from cow, goat, lactose free and so many more...... Last i bought PEDIASURE chocolate. She puts on weight in 2 weeks bout 2kg. Maybe you want to try. They have this premix that cost $2.75. All ready to drink. They sell it at most supermarket. NTUC better. But cold storage sells it at $2.50 per bottle. |

I glanced through a bb feeding book at the library and says that from birth till 1YO have to tripple birth weight. From 1-2 YO, only 2.5kg max as the growing rate is slower. Imagine if still grows so much by Pri 1 gotta go Turf Club (my time was this club don't know what's the new club name?) |

actually i'm wondering if weight is really an issue if your kid is active and happy. My cousin's girl also dun eat a lot of things and was about 10kg when she turned 2 - but she's happy and growing and that's most impt. i also think it depends on yours/hubby's genes. If both of you are slim/small-built, can't really expect a baby that explodes to 12-15kg right? it'll be: 1. quite scary. 2. damn tough to carry!! my girl is 20+ months and about 12.4kg. then again, she's bigger than her peers despite not being very plump. height, weight, head circumference all 90+ percentile. At some points in the past months, she was way above the graph. Very very tiring to carry for long. but both me and hubby are erm 'big and tall'. I'm 1.68m and on the XL side cuz i put on weight easily. Hubby is almost 1.8m but lanky and dun put on weight easily. I suppose she has our heavy bones and hubby's slim build cuz she eats quite normal 3 meals-a-day with sub-500ml milk (3-4x 120ml each time only). ALso takes random fruits (apple/pear/plum/banana) and biscuits. |

Hi! There's a vitamin supplement that contins something that's increase toddler's appetite - can check with pharmacy or doc. I personally agree with Lezy - is weight an issue if kid is active and happy. I've a 2 and a half year old girl who eats non-stop but is barely 10kg. So many people have been giving me advise on how to fatten her up but doc says she's healthy so I just let her be. Chubby babies are cute but a lot don't lose the baby fat when they are no longer babies. |

my boy is 17months and his only slightly pass 8kg. he drinks milk daily morning -220ml tea - 120ml before he goes to zzz - 120ml so its a total of 460ml on an average day. He takes solids, porridge for lunch and rice for dinner. I think its ok for kids to be skinny - i'm skinny by nature - so the little ones probably takes after us. Yes you are right - as long as they are healthy. my son doesn't fall sick very often. thank goodness for that. onsang, if you are worried of constipation, give your little one pro-biotics. Its like yakult, but minus the sugared water. its a supplement for kiddos/adults alike for good digestive system. it works. |

Mine also opposite, drinks alot but dun like solids. He drinks 240ml in the morning, before nap n 5pm, and took 280ml before night sleep. So total 970ml per day, take porridge fro lunch n a little rice for dinner as he too lazy to chew his food, mostly swallow. Now 18 mths, only 9kg, 78cm. I wld think he follows daddy genes. |

^^ my 36 months boy is only 11kg & 87cm.. He is currently taking 600ml milk in total for a day. for lunch n dinner he preferred rice then porridge, but he only wants his rice with red sauce (tomato sauce) & soup. He hates all kind of meats............ |
