Nuah,
it's a good idea to rent a small warehouse for your toys else your own house will be super duper pack.
have you figure out how you are gonna maintain & clean the toys (especially the smaller version)?
my fren used to run a toy rental business, she folded it coz the toy maintenance part takes up too much of her time.
she also recieved alot of complains from customer regarding her toys not in tip top (clean) condition. |

we will use dettol or other toy cleaner to clean the toys and of course b4 we deliver the toys we will clean again and either shrink wrap them or for small items...we will use zip lock bag....
for a start...everything will be in our hse till we hv bigger items etc...we needs to see how's the biz.... |

btw how did ur friend clean the toys?
For those fabric type, we will machine wash them. Am still looking ard those toy cleaner suitable for kids.....as we hv kids at hm too so of course we will clean thoroughly....
Well I guess maintainence of the toys is part of the biz....u cannot rent out the items without cleaning the toys.... |

she told me she used dettol and steamer.
according to her it's partly the customer's fault.
some toys are very dirty/badly stained when they return to her causing her to have difficulty cleaning them.
i supposed there's this group of ppl with low hygiene std and there's a group that are super particular.
try to rent out big toys if possible.
the returns are better.

hmmm, dettol is the best for cleaning
one idea, take pics of the toys at the customer's place, if they dirty/spoil, make them pay penalty. else no proof, very hard to fault the customer and they get away with it. in the end u can't rent out the toy again.
i also sanitise the toys after he delivers to my place. can see that he takes very good care of his inventory, very clean and nice-smelling. although some fabric-covered parts might be faded, but overall very good condition. he carries his items in a very big cloth bag (macham those Ikea type) but humomgous! and a trolley. he does all the deliveries & assembly on his own. very koot lat  according to him, he has 1 more staff at the warehouse to help with the cleaning

You thinking of bringing the kids to NZ? Its not a very child friendly place and I've seen many guest houses or motels dun welcome children. They just state NO CHILDREN. I was surprised to see that.

Should bring the kids to Melbourne very nice and relaxing place. Usually we go to the outskirt not so crowded and everywhere free parking. Parking in town is costly and they've got CBD pay system too.

Yup, planning to take the girls to Christchurch for farm stay, drive along the coast and go for whale seighting.
I dun like OZ at all tho its suppose to be a family friendly plc.
Meg wanna play in the snow, so will be taking her to Melbourne for skiing b4 she start P1.
I skied there once, not fab but kinda cheap compared to Japan or Seoul.

Yes thanks for the concern. Christchurch is beautiful and relaxing but you gotta prepare all the kids snacks and milk powder as it might not be available readily. You can bring Meg there for skiing its beautiful and cheaper than Aussie. |

Hb say might be cancelled as company say not justifiable for their team to go over as usual to save cost lah. So if by end of the month the company never cfm the trip then we go in December as all the Christmas deco shd be up by then. |

Yes Winter might be too cold for whale watching but the sea route is rough you sure the kids can tahan sea sick etc? I cannot tahan thats y I never go. I can't even tahan the sea route from North to South gotta stand outside the very big ship in the cold for 3 hrs although the ship is very steady. |

if it were me, i'd order from Amazon only if it's on major sale. shipping is a big factor since we dunno how they will pack each time. the discounted items we bought from Isetan previously is actually pretty cheap so can wait till for another local sale if no hurry
you need certain crafts stuff? i can share what i have wif you embellishments or craft kits also have but all from OTC lah, quality not very fantastic but cheap loh! hehehehehe |

Mbb, errr, too many to list. Generally I have foam craft kits, sun catcher kits, some magnet craft kits, paper plate crafts kits and lots of sticker scenes. all are pre-packed, can easily take 1 set out. Mostly are new & unopened, only managed to open a few packs like the foam bookmarks n paper plates. If I hv time tmr, I send u the links of those I hv yah.
I also lazy to put together the embellishments for them to DIY so I keep sticking to the pre-packed kits nia. Just open and start assembling! Fast enough to hold their short attention spans. |

suncatcher kits are where you use special paint to paint on pre-drawn plastic or glass cut-outs. then hang up them. the rays will reflect on the hangings, very pretty

i dare not order from OTC liao. 1 have already filled up 3 enormous IKEA boxes with my craft stuff and i still need more boxes! i carted my loots from ah ma's place slowly and realised i have too much! war har har har!!! yes, i was speechless when i tried to consol last weekend... then i gave up cos i needed to get more boxes for them. now everything in limbo in my 'junk' room, awaiting to be organised. bleh...

My girl just had her party today . The kids had fun making bookmarks ( craft kits bought from OTC) the self - colour magnets were nice too. Sand art is v messy but kids also like.

hmmm, mine just arrived and i have fixed up the Cheftronic & the laundry set, quality not as good as i expected for the Tefal items. quite filmsy. quality is similar to the toysrus' homebrand. bleh...think i better guai guai wait for my LT one from Aprisin then sell away the Tefal ones

yah boy, so tiny... har har har! but got sounds & lights lah, quite cute. the washing machine machiam like the ELC one lor, can spin
the cheftronic one quite cheapo. need to assemble the cheftronic on your own, and very difficult to set up for such a small set. can pinch the fingers & flesh with the joinings, so sian... the laundry playset is quite solid cos no assembling required, came as a whole. so it's more 'solid'
the oven has no backing de, only 1 piece of cardboard that looks like the oven fan! wah piang... anyways they are made in china... (as though that explains evertyhing! war har har!!!) |

there's some progress finally! have hacked the interiors, gonna take some time to do up the structure. so slow moving... everytime we stop by to check, there's nothing new to see! hehehehe

Wow....this time round we also gonna hunt for toilet bowls, sink, shower head..those small small items.....2 set of lights...the rest are there Liao...kekeke....since we not doing anything major....even rooms flooring we decided not to do...use back the previous owner even though I dun quite like it....we shld see a fe urs down the road if we do major Reno or move house..no intention to spend much now since we have paid COV!!! That is why we decided on this unit since their unit is with simple, clean deco and some just renovated 2 yes ago.,,,..where to find nice and cheap sinks and toilet bowls etc beside sim siang choon |

eyeing some of the sleeker models for WCs and basins. i saw an automatic WC in shanghai, very impressed. full of gadgets, but most are quite useless! har har har! have various types of water jet sprays & can airdry your bottom for you somemore! kekekeke, so ticklish!
i like those WCs that 'hang' from the wall with the flush box hidden, but hor if there're any leaks than cham lor, gotta hack! war har har!! |

can put in 1 WC and 1 sink can le lor. flexi your showering space by having a curtain rather than a glass panel. my paris ris one also pretty small but ah lao managed to make it look bigger! quite impressed cos i remembered complaining the space so small how to shower! we kept everything minimal, no shelves to make it look cluttered. |

the current owne has a glass panel bt is open type which takes up space and not easy to open....was thinking of the sliding glass door instead.....headache headache.....dun know how to bath C2 with such a small toilet ;)
Went picolo house yesterday and I love the design...bt this C1 wants her Pink LT sports car bed!! pengz......she is crazy over sports cars now..can faint!! also my dad asking me to order more automoblox for my niece, nephews and Cs........I bought 2 for C1..sports van and sports car....and when they saw it...all of them wants the sport van as looks like my dad's "school bus" .. lol...8 seaters......... |
