newmummy, the shipping very reasonable cos KS always packs into 1 box
1 large box will cost ard $70-$100; weight will be calculated proportionately for each spreeist. if the book u are keen in is thin, then the shipping charges will be very minimal (provided the other spreeists buy heavy/bulky items lah!). i love buying from KS cos they pack everything nicely and for books, they put into a plastic bag somemore  |

nuah, har har har! tell me abt it. our designer came to our place to have a look at our current needs and he commented that our place is like a warehouse... after seeing the boxes all over the place. now he headache to come up with hidden storage for me, kekekekeke. hubby wants the new place to be minimal, meaning i have to store my loots out of his sight! which is difficult lor; too bad for him, war har har har har!

no lah, not reno current PR place. designer came over to get a feel of our needs and barang barang, so that he knows how much space to allocate at the new place! i just tell him, gimme whatever hidden storage u can squeeze out. have storage everywhere, even in the maid's toilet... war har har har har. with my parents staying with us & both flats rented out, sure not enough space de. we have to move all our belongings except furniture. so u can imagine my barang barang & loots at home, my loots at my parents' place & kids' stuff at both places - all need to be carted over to amber and stored. wah, headache sia. hubby already said no more buying. welllllll, i still buy but i store at my parents' place at most lor. so hubby no see, then no complain. he doesn't know i have lots of things at my parents' place, i also dun intend to tell him! just claim everything belong to my parents when we move!

Etsy ah, i cheapo, opted for standard shipping. just tell the seller that you want the 1-pound shipping (meaning ur parcel can hold up to 1-pound of items) and there's a standard rate for it, think abt USD21 or something like that or maybe it was USD12? hehehehe, forgot liao

yeah, usually for heavy stuff like rice, detergent, oil etc, i order from NTUC online. for orders below $75 or thereabouts (can't remember), delivery is $8. if above, then delivery is $5. delivery fee is applicable de, no free delivery by them
there's usually no same-day delivery cos they plan their routes for across the island; earliest is next day. u wun know until upon checkout, when u have to select the available delivery slots. they have various slots, like 9-1pm, 2-6pm or 6-9pm. but sometimes when u order in the morning and they happen to have a delivery to pasir ris, then they will call you and ask if they can deliver the same day

har har har! i hide my loots at ah ma's place sometimes lah but yest we were contemplating what else to pack into boxes and he said that i have to many things at home. even if pack also have no space to store the boxes. need to stop buying, esp children's toys cos they take up a lot of space. i hv more shipments coming in these few days so i think i better dun bring home loh, else he nag nag nag again. arrrghhhhh!
later got to spring clean again heng the new maid is here liao, can help to do a little. else i sure lose another 1kg, hehhehehe. during the last 2 weeks when we were maid-less, i lost weight doing chores. actually not a bad thing w/o a maid hor, can save money and lose weight at the same time! war har har har har |

haha Bao....i have been suffering for mths!
hse so small, really cant buy stuffs except for clothes.
even for books, i hafta cut down.
bookshelf is completely full & i have 5 more pampers boxes of new books.

hehehe, usual stuff lah; same brands. but the food there is divine... slurp! later after gorging on my fav foods, i wanna go to the factory outlet shop and see got good buys today or not. can get cheap branded clothes for kiddies
if driving can go to further places like AEON or Carrefour. i have not been to Carrefour yet though, only the Jusco.
if taking public trpt then usually go to City Square only; will only venture to Holiday Inn if desperate for pirated DVDs! |

ya family szie expanding bt hse getting smaller Reason if we are getting privtae apt/condo....price is too exp in the location we want so we tot of getting a smaller unit and move again once C enters school....
As for HDB, also depends on the location....bt we just dun wanna pay so much COV....MP area is asking for $50k to $100k cash on top of valuation!!!
Or we might rent a plc 1st....bt 1st of all we need to sell our hse 1st b4 we can really decide.

Hehehehe, back liao. Managed to buy some gap & ON pjs. Cheap cheap nia, so happi also got crocs but the designs not found on the US webbie, dunno authentic or not, muar har har har
yah agree tt in SGP, no $ no talk. Everything also need $. To really get ahead need $ else u'll be part of the rat pack like everyone else. That's why I really admire my hubby who has been working so hard for the last 3 years to achieve his goal & to provide for the family. Not easy to be alone in foreign countries all the time and away from family. |
