Tonight is the first night without my son with me at home.... we left him with my MIL as he say he wanted to stay with nai nai... actually he usually just say only and would rush out to go back with us. But today, i think i was partly tired and suggested just leave him there.. And really he stay at my MIL place.. I feel so empty back home now.. like a part of me gone.. want to cry already.. felt like going back to fetch him back home.

Lucida,
since young Lucas is always will u. The bond is much stronger that u can imagine. Just enjoy the freedom for the night....

I like to spend time with my kids without my hubby. I find the interaction is more intimating without hubby ard. Weird right, without hubby ard the kids behaviour are in their best. hahaha...

Dsii, Ian so lovely and friendly. We had a mini-birthday celebration in the school also. Lucas' school celebrate all july children together on the 15th of each month. So me and my hubby brought cake and present for the children. But when we reach the childcare centre, once Lucas saw us he cry and cry. Cried during blowing candle cry until he start eat the cake than stop. Than when giving out present he so shy to read out the names.. haiz.. Dun know what to do. than the next day, teacher complain again saying that he refuse to share a toy and beat a child hand. faint..

Now I'm receiving complain from teacher.. I think i will be heart broken if the complain comes from primary school saying he's naughty.. or too quiet.. or dun interact with others..

i will oso receive complaints time to time...hahaha..like ian push the kids..or beat the kids..but i realised at times..was his 'cow strength' loh...like a particular petite indian ger..he likes to poke poke ian...but when ian try to 'sweep off' her hands..she fell..and cried...so teacher tot ian 'bully' again..cos the teacher only witness the ger crying n sat on the floor...i am very grateful to some mummies here...always lending their listening ears...*touched* but like they said..ian's strength just tooooo strong for some kids..and he is the big size de...so no choice loh...

like zita always mentioned...one ear in ,one ear out....then ok le..hahahaa

hi dsii.. thks thks... kinda settled down already.. the 2 kids are adapting very well, big one seems to like it here better, small one too small to know anything. i'm staying at Tampines, same as last time. Hubby is back too. Now I am trying to find a childcare for my big one near my place so I can start working. As like last time, I am going to freelance and trying to work from home too, so I can still be the main caregiver for my no 2. hopefully lah...

I agree with Zoe.. hahahah the pic very cute.. he got great potential leh!

Misaryeo,
Basically it all depends on the principal of the cc. It happens tat the principal of Carpe Diem Hougang is not very gd, so lotsa teachers leaving. End up it affects the kids lor. Also, there's not much activities for the kids. Drinking water can take up 30mins with the kids & teachers staring at each other doing nothing. When the kids are bored, they'll play with the toys. New kids will start to cry cos nothing to distract them. Although I paid for 2wks trial, I pulled Kay out after just 1 wk.

I paid 2wks sch fees for the 2wks trial.

Regarding searching of preschool.

Never thought that PCF will be so popular. Currently, yun is studying N1 at a school however, the school could only provide education up to N2 & I used to think no problem transfer to the PCF for K1 & K2 but I was wrong. Thus, mummies, I would encourage you to find one that could last up to K2.

Congrats!! Can aim for a X'mas bb :-)

Yunma,
Agree with u. J's current preschool only provides up to N2 as well. So I will transfer him out next year to give him more time to get used to the new school. He'll be going to Mindchamps in HDB Hub.

Misaryeo,
one of my friend sent her son to Carpe Diem at Pasir Ris. I do hear good comments abt the center.

Go and see the center and talk to the teacher. Each parent has different expectation from CC but of course dun set ur expectation too high else u get disappointed easily.

hong,

that's good to hear. J is going to the main office in Toa Payoh HDB Hub. I did receive good general feedback from my other colleagues about Mindchamps program (though it wasn't specifically the pre-school curriculum). Thinking ahead: if MC is indeed as they claimed to be, I will consider letting J continue with their after-schoolcare program (but only if he can get into a single session school) cos they don't offer before-school care...

Brambles,
my fear is that Yukult will trigger cough. My kids love yukult too but we control their intake by drinking half away for Julian and leave half for him.

MT / LP,
Congrats! My 2 boys are already starting to fight over toys and my attention, so good luck!

brambles,
I hv the same concern as hong on Yakult. There was this period when he's kinda addicted to it (must drink one everyday). I stopped J when he went through a coughing phase and thankfully, he stopped asking for it cos he liked his PD and I used the PD to persuade.

mummies,
I wonder whether i'm too KS but i'm starting to think about which pri sch to send the boys to. Scary to think abt the work involved if I want to improve the chances cos the primary schools within 2 km (Ai Tong/Catholic High/Kuo Chuan Presbyterian) are all so popular!!

lok - thanks... also thanks for the warning! hahahaha :p

yakult - Zav only gets it once a wk :p
I dun stock up at home. so he only gets it at my mom plc when we go on wkend :p
one way to stop is dun stock it at home! hahaha

Pri sch - lok u r right? 2km is "useless", even if u dun PV. my boss kid just went thru the pri1 registeration last mth. He enrolled tao nan via hokkien huay guan - 1km - all in, 1km-2km only 50% ballot chance. more than 2km - dun even need to register :p

ur hubby old kid from any gd sch? think tis is the best bet. or not, hv to shift hse liao.. hahha

MT,
AT is within 1 km. If I do PV, based on history, is 100% chance (but difficult to find time to do PV). My preference is CHS (within 1-2km) cos single session which allows me to look for my desired afterschool care and affiliation to secondary school but super popular... *sigh*

My hubby and my primary schools are just neighbour schools that are no longer around. I went to all-girls sec school and my hubby's sec school has no affiliation... So still "strategizing"..

lok - aitong dun need to do pv lah. are u hokkien? if yes, just join their clan loh. pay $500 and get the phase2b priority hahhaa :p

CHS - hmm.. this one is hot hot hot. :p

Hi Lok, Me too. I'm thinking of primary school already. Actually i don't think it's KS cos from what I understand, for popular school, you need to start register with the school from next year onwards..

I'm contemplating shifting house .. Actually Yishun does have a good school which is Chong Fu. But I wanted a more well-rounded curriculum and a good mix of students. A few school short-listed: Pei Hwa, Catholic High (this one 1KM also need ballot), SJI (but my hubby thinks this is ah beng school so most likely cancel), Maris Stella and maybe Rosynth. These school location are convenient for my hubby go work also...

still thinking.. maybe end up still chong fu since most convenient and economical..

Hi MTDT, heehee.. my hubby works at alexandra lar. So Yishun is the most inconvenient. Actually he feels that Bishan most convenient .. Of course schools in Holland Road or Clementi nearest but too far from my in-laws and parents place ... So the best in between both my hubby work place and my in-laws place is Bishan... but than i'm not sure if it is wise to go for Catholic High as even within 1KM still needs to ballot. If cannot get will be very troublesome. Moreover I'm not sure if Catholic High too competitive or stressful or not.. But Bishan got other schools which i heard is good too such as Ai Tong, etc..

Have you short listed yours?
