Hi,

I have ordered from Haven Bakery for my boy 1st birthday and I love William's cake. Now keep thinking of what is the next ocassion that I can order from him again. Moreover, William is very nice, as he has forgotten to pass me the 1 year old candle, he made a return trip to my place just to pass the candle. Can check out his blog at http://havenbakery.blogspot.com/search/label/Birthday%20Cake

Hi, here's a good article on how to organise first year birthday celebrations. It has URL links for bakeries selling innovative first year birthday cakes, URL links on where to get good birthday decorations (e.g. balloons) for the party, and other useful information.

To all parents who have ordered 1st year birthday cakes from Pine Gardens,

Pls advise what flavour of cake is the best?
How much does it cost (roughly) for 2 tier cake?
And what is SPK? where do you buy the 1 year candles from?

We are looking for something "unique" for our baby's 1st year old party.

Any recommendations?

rgds,
ZSMDaddy

I've tried hazelnut chocolate crunch, lychee martini, orange zest. Personally like lychee martini but it's alcoholic. Think kids will like the hazelnut chocolate crunch cake.

If u're getting 2 tiers, can consider having different flavors, one for kids and the other for adults. I've ordered a 2 tier cake with 2 flavors for $112 for my kid's bday 3 years ago. U can ask pine gardens to send u the pricing, design cost will depend on the design complexity. Delivery charges used to be $15, not sure if it's still the same now.

Cheers

HI,

Just order my gal's 1st bday cake 2 days ago.
Is a 2 tie hello Kitty cake. Total cost is $121 with delivery charge. Delivery Charge is $18.
I have not choose the flavor yet. I told them that i am buying those recommanded cakes back home to try then will call them to confirm the flavors.

Think if u want, can you do the same thing also.

Ya I tried the pulut hitam flavor, personally I like it, not too sweet but I think the kids might not like it. Older folks should find it interesting. :-) u should pop by their retail shop at amk to try out the cakes.

One last question to all:
Where is best place to get toy figurines or decorations for the cake? Apparently the cake shop doesn't provide such services.
