For HYPY Teacher - would like to start only in Nov/Dec, something like a crash course for my K2 boy.

Any teachers out there or anyone can recommend?

HI,
One of my friend I met in Church last week said she found the tutor through an online agency that specialises in phonics tutoring. She sounded very pleased with the tutor and the result. I had to leave early so didn't get a chance to get the details. Will find out tomorrow and post back here.

Sorry, I was busy with my two kids for the past two days and hardly have time to get online. The agency name is Singapore Phonics Lessons and their website is www.singaporephonicslessons.com

I understand they specializes in finding private phonics tutor, something quite different than normal tuition agencies. I'll call them this week to see if they can help me out.

I received a call from the agency this morning and had a 10 mins chat with the owner. I explained that I was looking for a private phonics tutor and expressed my concern with my 3 yr old daughter who find it hard to read and concentrate.

He was friendly and sounded emphatitic as he has two young girls also. Unlike a normal tuition agency, the agency seems to focus only on Phonics tutoring, children with developmental delay, Dyslexia and learning disability. He asked me to fill in the form on their website so they can assist me in finding the right tutor once the right one comes along.

At this stage, I'm not quite sure how effective their referral is but I'll provide feedback as soon as I have things to share.

Last friday I received an sms for 2 tutors around my zone. Talked to both and they sounded quite experience. Have decided on one as she has two girls around same age as mine and her price is quite reasonable. First lesson will commence this Thurs.

Hi...I'm a mother of 2 and phonics Montessori trained. Montessori method of teaching phonics uses multi sensory approach. Our children learn phonics and reading at the same time. I use moveable letters, objects and picture cards to reinforce learning and reading . jts, my 20mth dd can pronounce all 26 alphabets phonetically. I'm giving phonics Montessori lessons at my house (due to the bulkiness of movable letters and objects )

every Sunday Morning, 10-11am
Fee: $120 every 4 lessons
Suitable age: 4-6 years old
