1 smartpac box can only fit 1 set..$4.2 covers box & postage
if 2 sets, self-collection might be a better choice as cost of bus/mrt will be lower
Fyi, smartpac will be enhanced soon to include tracking.
And singpost will up the cost too, from $4.20 to $4.70, a modest 50cents... |

Hi,can you advise me on this. i used to owned the thermometer but a few days ago, it stopped working totally even after changed new batteries. i called braun svc centre this evening.The girl asked me for the lot no. and informed me saying my thermometer is way too old, not cost effective even if they accept a trade in. She advised me to get a new set from retail. Apparently, they do not svc out of order themometer.
May I know what is the lot no. of this batch of thermometer? |

U are not the 1st person to tell me braun svc ctr don't repair/service faulty/out-of-order sets...
i presume yours is a local set with local warranty too?
"By old", I think the girl meant your thermo's warranty is over a long time ago, prob more cost-effective to buy new set rather than trade-in/repair
I definitely don't recommend buying retail unless $ is no problem to u...becos local set is really super expensive!!
Same set sells for SGD $135+++ in SG Guardian pharmacy/KK!
With that kind of $, i can buy 2 sets already with $ left over for spare lens filters
Lot number printed in front of the thermo itself and also on the box.
There are too many batches, recent batch i just quote one: 02512K03347

Starting some time in Apr 2012, Singpost will enhance its Smartpac courier service with Tracking Number,
which enables u to track where your package is from starting point to end point.
At the same time, Singpost will up the cost of Smartpac from $4.20 to $4.70 (50cents), as I was informed.
I hereby announce that if you place your order before Apr 1st 2012, and opt for Smartpac,
it will be at the old price of $4.20.
Starting Apr 1st 2012, if Singpost yet to go live on their new service, and as long as i am able to buy the old smartpac boxes, then still $4.20. Else it will be at the new price. --the enhanced Smartpac box will be printed with a tracking number.

Warranty:
This thermometer is imported from USA, so the warranty only applies in the USA.
In other words, it is considered no warranty in SG.
However, this set is very cheap at SGD 54 including international shipping.
The same model IRT4520 in SG retails for SGD 135++ in Guardian Pharmacy!!
With that kind of $, u can get 2 sets already (1 main, 1 backup), with $ left over for additional lens filters.
Its no wonder why so many ppl are joining this spree to buy it
I used mine for 1.5+ years already and its still working fine.
When it finally conks out(dunno when that will be!), I intend to throw it and get a new set frm US.
Its quite a hassle actually to deal with the svc centre, need to call...bring the set down...aiyo

If item is out-of-stock, u may transfer after stock comes back & i place the order.

There is also an instruction manual in the box.
Btw, when u receive your thermometer, it is preset to F(Fahrenheit).
To change it to Degrees Celsius, when the thermometer is switched off, just press and hold the front button for a few seconds.
After that, it will remain as Degrees Celsius.
Very easy
