hello all mummies and mtb

flowerie123 - i think i m even nearer to e aeroplane...see n hear them everyday flying above my flat. jw st 42, next to huayi sec sch....i close e window in e day to minimise e noise when they fly continuous (somedays)...if those once in e while de i keep windows open n check on her whenever its loud...yes, beanbag on their chest..or if you can train bb to sleep face down.

babybunnie - congrats!! wow...so fast hor..how was ur delivery? natural? how long was your contraction? dr tho good?

to increase milk supply, try let bb latch more. n after latching, go for 5-10mins pump each side if u have time...ur body will tell ur breast u need to produce more milk..slowly ur milk supply will increase. n impt to try keep to your time, ie 3hrly till u see u get e amt u want le n stable le then u can drag ur hrs till, eg 4hrly...etc...jiayou jiayou!!

I'm at Jurong East Ave 1. Behind polyclinic! Bringing baby regularly to my mil house in Jurong so tt she can learn how to take care baby when I go back to work.

Wow.. After reading so many stories abt why some cannot bf, I understand better why all the aunties I meet keep asking me if I am bf and if I have enough milk. I was getting irritated and wanted to tell them to mind their own biz.

My mum and mil both share confinement duties for me. No matter how they insist I stay away from the fan to bf, I still do it cos so hot and sticky! My mum also insisted I don't do washing but I don't care. I pump and wash everyday. I'd rather sacrifice and get "wind" than not bf my baby. My milk supply is steady and enough tt I can freeze some every few days. Slowly building up freezer supply for when I go back to work.

Right now my girl having 6th week growth spurt so no chance to freeze any milk. Feeding her also just barely enough. 100ml every 2 hrs = 1.2L a day! Scary! Mostly I take care baby myself and it's really tough but so worth it when baby smiles at u for that 1 second.

Hi Mummies

For routine jabs or if BB is sick, where would you bring your BB to?

A) Hospital's Paediatrician where your BB is borned

B) Paediatrician which is in Jurong?

C) Polyclinic

Thanks a lot.

Hi Jurong mummies,

I am at Jurong West Street 61. Anyone staying as far in Jurong as me?

I just delivered my 2nd son on 10th Oct :-) This time I am trying to bf as much as I can since I failed the first time. I am taking this organic Mother's Milk tea from Traditional Medicinal. Seems to be helping me a lot considered the miserable amt of milk I produce the last time. If anyone interested, the online store can be found at www.facebook.com/GracieOrganic.

I am doing much better now also because I try not to stress myself too much. If I can't keep up to the demand at certain times, I will top up with formula. But as much as possible, always latch on first.

Good luck!

AK..

Jia you Jia you.. Got to latch and pump exclusively to get the milk coming in, especially during the first 3-6 weeks, I think. My baby is 4.5 mths now and I am still breastfeeding him. Hope to continue for as long as possible too..

Yes, and no stress. Have plenty of rest, water and eat more..

Simbaobao.. I am at St 64! So you managed to join the FB grp :-)

xinyue, you are right.

Latching our baby exclusively whenever baby wants to and pumping (as frequently as you can when baby is not nursing) is the key to producing milk and keep the supply going!

Other than that, get plenty of rest, take good care, eat well and drink lots of water!

I'm a childbirth and breastfeeding educator so if you mommies need any help or have any questions do feel free to ask me!

Perhaps we can use the RC room and organize a weekly or monthly gathering. Do you ladies think it'll be useful?

:-)

Hi Jurong Mummies,

Need help desperately. I am going back to work soon in Jan and I am having problem getting my bb to feed on bottles. Tried NUK and Tommee Tippee and Medela and all didnt work. I hate to go into frustration mode everytime i try to feed him on bottle.. help!

Also, I stay in Pioneer MRT area. Looking for a nanny who can drop by my place for half day afternoons Mon to Fri. Any recommendation?

Hello mommies, latest update I am getting a confinement lady to come in to help for a week to wean my baby to drink bm from bottle. Starting work in Jan!

Anyway, I would like to share and recommend some organic and all natural products for you and your baby. I am the owner of this online store and I also use the California Baby products for my sons and myself. www.facebook.com/GracieOrganic. Look at E-Store on the left tab.

The store is having 20% off on selected products. If you stay in Jurong and would like to do self collection from me at Jurong Point, you can type in Selfcollect as the discount coupon at checkout to discount off the delivery charges. Feel free to PM me if you need more details.

Any mummy here who can recommend infant care or child care in Jurong area? If so, what are the fees/centre programme/staff-kid ratio etc like? Thanks!

Hi akmommy,

I used to have the same problem as you. my baby refused bottles at all regardless which brand. but the funny thing was she was willing to drink water from bottle but not milk.
I just sent her to my mil on my first day back to work. she starved herself for half a day before willing to suckle abit from the bottle.
You will need a 3rd party to bottle-feed her. make sure your baby cant see or smell u. he may cry badly and this may go on for 2 week before he'll accept bottle.just make sure he doesnt get dehydrated..guess that should work.
